In June of 2024, a client brought his beloved 1971 Chevy Chevelle Super Sport Tribute to a repair shop to change out the car battery. While at the shop, the car fell off a lift and was rendered nearly totaled. The client only learned of the damage after he called and inquired as to the status of the battery. After the mechanic’s shop refused to pay any amount for the damage, Friedman Legal filed suit against the company on his behalf. The company initially denied all liability for the loss.
Friedman Legal attorneys Michael Friedman and Jodi Cohen tried the client’s case in Broward County, Florida before the Honorable Judge Michelle Towbin-Singer. On April 21, 2026, a panel of six jurors issued a verdict in favor of the client.
Michael Friedman stated, “It was a privilege to secure a recovery for our client, who had worked for years to purchase his dream car, only to have it near-totaled due to the negligence of a repair shop that he had trusted. We worked tirelessly to ensure that the jury had the tools it needed to reach the right verdict, and the award in favor of our client is a testament to the hard work and dedication of our team.”
Congratulations to the Friedman Legal team!
